Public Consultation Day No.1: Summer 2020

The project will include opportunities to participate in public consultation.

The purpose of the first public consultation process shall be to seek initial views from the public and other interested parties in relation to the key issues that the study should address, discuss options to manage the flood risk in the area, and to highlight points of local importance that might constrain the design and/or viability of any potential flood alleviation measures.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic an alternative Public Consultation is taking place. Posters, information brochure, and questionnaire are available to inspect below. Hard copies are also being posted to premises in the Carrick on Shannon/ Cortober area.

As part of the Public Consultation Process, we welcome your comments, particularly in relation to any relevant engineering and environmental (including agricultural) issues that may be impacted upon by a Flood Relief Scheme. Feedback is being sought in advance of Friday 14th August 2020. Comments or completed questionnaires can be submitted by post or by email using the contact details provided below.

A subsequent Public Consultation Day will be held to let Stakeholders and the public know how their observations, comments and submissions were used within the Environmental Constraints Study and the Scheme Development Process.
